Just a short stroll from the hotel, is the River Cherwell famous for its punting. You can also visit the many Colleges of Oxford or the Ashmolean Museum. The Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford University Museum of Natural History and The Pitt Rivers Museum are also within walking distance. For evening entertainment, Oxford has excellent theatres, the Playhouse and New Theatre to name but two.
If you wish to travel around the area, we are situated close to Burford, which is the gateway to the beautiful and picturesque Cotswolds. Both historical Woodstock and Blenheim Palace, birth place of Winston Churchill, very close by. Stratford and Warwick are about a half-hour drive, as well as London easily accessible by both train and coach . Whether for business or leisure, the Best Western Linton Lodge is the place to stay.
